How Bakaya handles your data
Last updated 5 November 2026.
Who we are
Bakaya is a collections service for Indian B2B distributors and chartered accountants who bill from Tally. Questions about this policy go to yadav40shashank@gmail.com.
Google sign-in
If you choose Sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We use them to create your Bakaya account, show who is signed in, and contact you about the workspace. We do not use that profile for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Invoice and debtor data
You may import debtor and invoice records from a Tally outstanding report, or type them in. That includes party names, contact details, GSTINs, bill numbers, dates, and amounts. We store this only to run the service: reminders, payment links, reply handling, statements, and the dashboard for your organisation.
How the data is used
Bakaya uses the data you provide to operate your collections workspace. Messages go to your customers only when you, or the cadence you configured, send them. We do not use invoice or debtor data to train public models, and we do not share it with other Bakaya customers. A person in the product only sees the organisations they belong to.
Processors
Hosting and the database run on Vercel and Neon. Email, WhatsApp, payments, and optional AI classification use the providers you connect (such as Resend, Meta, Razorpay, and the Vercel AI Gateway). Those providers receive only what is required to send a message, take a payment, or classify a reply.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and ledger data while your workspace is active. Email yadav40shashank@gmail.com to ask for a copy or for deletion of your account and imported records.
